Dental Collection Success

better overnight parking in their neighborhood

Especially the night that many Schaerbeekois struggling to find a place to park their cars near their homes. Indeed, it is often all people in the same street, so it is difficult to find a rule to allow the stationing of some and prohibit the other. I propose two concrete tracks to solve (partially) this problem.

  1. Extend control of the blue areas beyond 18 hours.
In some areas parking is reserved only for residents, owners of a parking card is the system for blue zones (see www.schaerbeekparking.be for information). The system is available from 9:00 to 18. It would extend the principle until 20 or 22 hours to provide greater protection for residents who return late from work.

The disadvantage is that visitors to these residents do not have the right to park free for two hours maximum supported by their blue disc. This limits the flexibility (and long) night visits from your relatives and acquaintances.

    For or against?

  2. Open Evening parking companies and supermarkets.
There are a number of car companies or department stores, which are obviously closed in the evening. Do not spend money to build new locations, just set up a system of management thereof night, allowing residents cardholders access to rent a location for the night one of the existing car parks. It remains to ensure the safety and lighting and the release of the parking lot in the morning so as not to prejudice its owner and main user. The municipality may issue a tax incentive to companies that put their car parks available to the community.

    For or against?
