The roads are full of Schaerbeek transit traffic. The counts in the Plan municipal mobility in preparation prove it: more than 1000 vehicles per hour during peak hours, in avenues such as the floor of Helmet, Diamond Avenue, the street of the Slopes, Street Ernest Cambier, etc.. All this information is available and accessible to all, so that everyone participates in the development of our mobility plan.
Two strong proposals already outlined in this first report:

Two strong proposals already outlined in this first report:
- delete an incoming strip on the E40 . Why indeed, let go city car that can travel as the roads are congested?
- redevelop the Boulevard Lambermont, in the sense of descent into the Pont Van Praet, leaving two strips through traffic and arranging a local access road for traffic slower, bicycles, pedestrians, cars etc. are parked.

A police cars even closer? Cleanliness
The area police have reorganized in a pattern of decentralization: five sectors each with a police performing all the duties of police. All services are available in each office. Intervention patrols criss always the same territory from their police station, where they are in regular contact with district officers.
The results prove the correctness of our police model: crime fell 25% in three years!
But it is possible to do even better.
1. A new police station in Colignon.
A new office will open in 2007 (after work), on the ground floor of the town hall, Colignon place (the back) to better serve the citizens of the center of Schaerbeek.
2. A local branch in Brabant.
The police squad specially created for the Rue de Brabant, notably at the request of traders, will be located in the same street to be even more accessible to citizens and businesses. The brigade has developed along the lines of "Koban" Japanese, that is to say, the local police station, with two or three agents and responsible for all police missions. Without doubt one of the keys to the success of the Japanese police in solving crimes (which reached 80%, while in Western Europe, this rate is just over 40%!).
3. An antenna Local Helmet. The reality of
Helmet district also requires the establishment of a branch of police in the district as requested by many traders and residents. Since May 1, an embryonic Brigade is active in the neighborhood. This team of two police officers is expected to be extended to ten units in 2007.
4. A local branch of the police Leuvensesteenweg.
Then we will develop the same project for the area of the floor of Louvain, the street of the two towers instead Dailly.
